Apple unveils Red Iphone 7

Apple unveils limited edition red iPhone 7 and 7 Plus along with 9.7-inch iPad and new video-editing app Clips

  • New devices on sale now include a red iPhone 7 in recognition of a HIV charity
  • The firm also announced the launch of a free video-editing app called Clips
  • The 9.7-inch iPad costs £339 ($422) and comes in silver and gold

  • Apple has added a host of new devices to its online store after staging a surprise product drop.
    New devices include a red iPhone 7 and 7 Plus costing £699 ($749) and a new 9.7-inch iPad costing £339 ($422).
    The firm also announced a new video-editing app called Clips which will be available for free from April.
    Apple have announced a new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus RED Special Edition smartphone. The iPhone is in recognition of more than 10 years of partnership between Apple and (RED), an HIV charity. A percentage of profits will go towards Global Funds to fight the disease
    The shock release came after the firm  today replaced its standard storefront with a mysterious message reading: 'We've got something special in store for you. And we can't wait for you to see it. Please check back soon.'
    The new 9.7-inch iPad features a bright retina display with over 3.1 billion pixels and comes in three different colours - silver, gold and space gray. 
    The device comes with an Apple-designed A9 chip with 64‑bit architecture that delivers fast processing.
    It has front- and back-facing cameras for low-light performance and HD video recording.
    The tablet starts at $329 (£264).


    Apple have also announced a new iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus RED Special Edition smartphone. 
    The iPhone is in recognition of more than 10 years of partnership between Apple and (RED), a HIV charity.

    'Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products,' said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO.
    'The introduction of this special edition iPhone in a gorgeous red finish is our biggest (PRODUCT)RED offering to date in celebration of our partnership with (RED), and we can't wait to get it into customers' hands.' 


    Apple has extended its watch band offerings for Spring 2017 to include a New Striped Woven Nylon (pictured), Nike Sport and Apple Watch Hermès Bands. All new bands are available to purchase today from Apple's website and at Apple stores

    Apple has partnered with Nike to introduce a new Nike Sport band for its Watches. The band has been designed to be light, flexible and breathable to make for an easy sporting companion
    The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus RED Special Edition will be available in 128GB and 256GB models at the cost of £699 ($749).
    Apple also introduced Clips, a new app for creating videos on the iPhone and iPad.
    The app allows users to combine video clips, photos and music into videos to share with friends through the Messages app, or on Instagram, Facebook and other popular social networks. 
    Clips will be available on the App Store for free beginning in April, and is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, the new 9.7-inch iPad, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation.
    The firm today shut down its online store across the world - a usual sign of incoming new products.
